We are unable to accept returns on custom tinted paint as these are mixed specially on request. You must ensure that you double check the paint, finish and colour before checkout to avoid any issues. Also, please remember that colour matches to other brands are within a 10% variance of the original shade so you may want to order a tester pot first to check compatibility. 

Our specialised mixing machines allow us to match over 20,000 colours from various named brands within 10% accuracy. Just type in the brand and colour code into the text box below the product or select from our numerous Tikkurila colour cards using the colour chart. Your custom shade will be saved to your account, so you can rest assured that will be able to mix more if you need it!

It is important to match the paint to the needs room being painted. For example in a hallway where there is a lot of traffic, it would be best to use a hardwearing scrubbable finish (like our Tikkurilla Ceramic Matt) that will stand the test of time and is easy to clean. All our paints offer details on usability in the descriptions, but If you are unsure please don’t hesitate to give us a call or email for more information.

Due to the high moisture amounts in these rooms, you would need to use a specialist paint to ensure the walls don’t mark from steam or droplets. The most popular finish is a Durable Matt but if you are concerned about mould or poor ventilation, we would recommend Zinnser Permawhite or Tikkurilla Luja.

We recommend 1-3 coats of Zinsser B-I-N primer to seal the stain, you can then cover this with your choice of paint finish.

Water based paint is environmentally friendly, quicker drying and is easier to wash out of brusher and rollers – also the white is non yellowing compared to solvent based alternatives.

As new build properties take time to adjust, you need to use a paint that doesn’t contain any vinyl so your plaster can dry out without cracking. We recommend Macphersons Contract Matt or Eclipse, or Tikkurila Primer or Anti Reflex.

We quality check all items before shipping and pack all items securely to avoid damage during transit, but unfortunately this cannot always be guaranteed. If you receive a damaged or faulty item, then please call or email our team so we can get this resolved. We will arrange collection of the order and either send out a replacement or issue a refund as requested.
