A taping knife is an essential tool for use with plasterboard/drywall, for both joining boards together during installation and filling seams or holes for spot repairs. The blade is made from SK7 high carbon steel that is heat treated for strength, giving the characteristic blue colour, and lacquered to prevent rusting. It has a laser-straight edge that makes it ideal for smoothing plasterboard jointing/scrim tape down to give the lowest possible profile for a seamless appearance when plastered, as well as filling seams and holes for an ultra-smooth, professional finish. The product is also ideal for smoothing vinyl stickers and decals onto flat surfaces, with the straight edge chasing out air bubbles whilst not damaging the material. The blade is attached to a strong yet lightweight aluminium bridge and securely crimped along its length to hold it in place. The bridge is in turn riveted to a rugged handle with two heavy duty 20mm rivets. The handle is ergonomically shaped with soft grip for comfort and reduced hand fatigue, especially during extended use, with a hanging hole for storage.
